September often has great flying weather in western Europe. But sadly that didn’t last until the weekend of the French meeting.  Of the 8 aircraft due in from the UK and Channel Islands, only one, John and Diana Davy were able to make it to Melun, situated around 40km / 25 miles south-east of Paris.
