IFFR – great opportunities for aviation-related service!
IFFR Hong Kong continues to work collaboratively with the Hong Kong, China, Aviation Club and the Rotary Club of Hong Kong North Point to inspire young people, in particular Rotaractors and Interactors through aviation focused education and to help them to explore vocational opportunities in aviation which may be relevant to their future career interests.
Together they recently held their Aviation Education Scholarship 2024-25 First Class opening ceremony. Two Rotaractors, Winson and Andrew (Year 4 undergraduates) members of the Rotaract Club of Hong Kong North Point and two Interactors: Gurung and Cabial from the Interact Club of CCC Kwei Wah Shan College (an ethnic minority school ) were selected to join the Ground Theory Training in the Hong Kong, China, Aviation Club for 4 evenings with 3 hours training on each evening. A 45 minute flight simulator practice session will also be provided to let them experience hand-on flying practice.
Their target is to sponsor 10 next generation potential aviators during the Rotary year 2024/25
