On the weekend of 12 – 15 April 2024, members of IFFR Australia gathered at Toowoomba, Queensland, for a great weekend of aviation fellowship organised by IFFR Australia Section Leader Rob Hannemann and his wife Ange. Friday afternoon involved inspecting warbirds from the golden age of aviation, and ended with a BBQ at the Darling Downs Aero Club.

Saturday included a visit to the Downs Steam Railway Museum, the Oakey Army Air Museum, and the FTA QANTAS Flying School. Sunday started with more interesting old planes, before moving the new – the University of Queensland Aviation School Airbus A320 simulator – where Matthew Shum pulled off a perfect landing.

I’ll keep it short here, because there’s a full report and a lot more pictures on the IFFR Australia website.
Do go and check it out there!
